This email is being sent around with the subject "For those who don't remember history":
The other night we watched a movie called, "Flags of our Fathers." During the movie, I pointed out the radio broadcast of "Tokyo Rose." She had the best music on her station. During World War II, the Japanese developed a way to demoralize the American forces. Psychological warfare experts developed a message they felt would work. They gave the script to their famous broadcaster "Tokyo Rose", and every day she would broadcast this same message packaged in different ways. The Japanese hoped it would have a negative impact on American GI's morale
What was that demoralizing message? It had three main points:
1. Your President is lying to you.
2. This war is illegal.
3 You cannot win the war.
Does this sound familiar today?
It is because we are being bombarded by Tokyo Hillary, Tokyo Harry, Tokyo Teddy, Tokyo Nancy, Tokyo Murtha, etc.,and they have picked up the same message and are broadcasting it on Tokyo CNN, Tokyo ABC, Tokyo CBS, Tokyo NBC, etc., to our troops.
The only difference is that they claim to support our troops before they demoralize them.
Come to think of it, Tokyo Rose told the troops she was on their side, too
THANK THE DEMOCRATS!!!!!
They started this war because they knew that it would be nearly impossible to end. That the Democrats have taken even one step to end it when they know that they are faced with this kind of pro-war propaganda is testimony to something like courage anyway. And let's be clear - the people in charge of crafting this message that's spread by the frightened, draft-safe sheep don't care about winning the war but instead about destroying the philosophical underpinnings of this country and any opposition to that goal. Today they call their enemies Democrats, tomorrow it will be something else.

Tragic and telling, of course, that these wingnuts fail to have learned the real lesson of Tokyo Rose. I'm referring to the case of Iva Toguri D'Aquino, who was accused falsely of being Tokyo Rose, spent years in jail, then many more laying low to avoid the public eye.
An American prisoner in Japan during WW II, she did do radio broadcasts, but was never found to have uttered anti-American propaganda. Nevertheless, ol' Walter Winchell drummed up attacks on her, and she was eventually tried and found guilty of treason. The FBI may have even prompted witnesses to testify falsely against her.
Eventually, President Ford pardoned her.
But no, nothing like that could ever happen again!
