Chris Dodd for President
I have a candidate for the presidency. Of course, he's already under attack from his own party. That's the way the Democrats roll.
Send Dodd the contribution he deserves for being the only DemCan to show the leadership that will be necessary in the months and years ahead.
UPDATE: From Krugman:
I’d put it this way: many progressives, myself included, hope that the next president will be another F.D.R. But we worry that he or she will turn out to be another Grover Cleveland instead — better-intentioned and much more competent than the current occupant of the White House, but too dependent on lobbyists’ money to seriously confront the excesses of our new Gilded Age.
Exactly. Which is why, once Chris Dodd took a step from rhetoric to leadership on the issue of protecting our Constitution and halting America's slide into kleptocracy, I was more than ready to commit to his campaign. He is simply alone in the field.
I'm holding out the same hope I held out with Howard Dean: Like everyone, he's not perfect, but maybe this is a guy who knows where to draw lines and then stand on them. We've got a guy like that running things now so we know that it works for evil. Maybe we can see it work for good.
