And so another Dem is forced into a Public Apology because the Dems are scared that when 2008 rolls around, they'll be accused of hurting Dear Leader's feelings and hating on the troops. Dem members of Congress keep forgetting that only the Republans are allowed to be intemperate with impunity.
I'm looking foward to getting the next request for a contribution to the DCCC. This time when I mail it back money-free, I'll write "This is a small part of what forcing Pete Stark to apologize cost you." The rest of the price would be what lingered of the party's self-respect.
As for what Rep. Stark said about our soldiers dying for BushCo's amusement. It's really impossible to draw any other conclusion about a man who betrays our military and the country by planning and waging a war of aggression and then shows off trophies of that war - collected by actual soldiers - like a fourth-grader with the key to his daddy's gun cabinet.
