Listen to the hysteria in the voice of the NPR guy interviewing Sen. Shelby about the Trillion Dollar Plan to Save Hank Paulson's Friends.
Are you saying that you might be willing, if it were up to you, to let the economy ride this out even if that means a very severe economic slowdown - a recession?! A Depression?!
Are you concerned that even a day or two or a week's delay will cause trouble in the financial markets?
It looks like NPR guy is watching his mutual funds bounce around, doesn't like it at all and wants mama to make it better.






"NPR guy" was hired by and no doubt responding to his conservative bosses - or were you unaware that NPR's new BFF's are the National Review, Fortune 500, and the WSJ?

I heard that as well, and had the same reaction. Fortunately, Terry Gross' interview of Gretchen Morgenson washed that foul taste out of my mouth. It's pretty damned good.
