Have you no sense of decency, madam, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?
Having reworked that famous accusation for Teh Cuda, I might add that you can never have something "left" when you didn't have it to begin with.
As in: it appears that Sarahcuda's time as Gov of Alaska pretty much wrecked the state, leaving it (a la Bush) with the largest debt load of any state in the Union.
Sarah Palin has long sold herself as a fiscal conservative, arguing against the Democrats' health overhaul on the grounds that the nation simply can't afford it.
But when the former vice presidential candidate resigned as governor of Alaska in the summer of 2009, she left the state with a 70 percent debt-to-GDP ratio -- the highest state debt burden in the United States.
That's according to data compiled by the Washington Independent's Megan Carpentier, who notes that Alaska has a debt burden similar to "that of Jordan and Palin's favorite health care resource, Canada, and a higher ratio than Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, India, the Philippines or Uruguay."
By comparison, crisis-stricken California has a debt ratio of less than 40 percent. All the more confounding about Alaska's debt is the fact that it is an oil-producing region with a small population to share in that wealth. Oil-rich Alberta, Canada, for example, collects no sales tax and still managed to retire its debt entirely in 2004.
Oops. Not that that wasn't the intention. Given that conservatives inevitably destroy the economy of whatever socio-political entity is unlucky enough to have one of them running it (Teh Cuda did the same thing to Wasilla as mayor), you pretty much have to figure they either do it on purpose or are the unluckiest, most incompetent money managers this side of Bernie Madoff.
But Sarahcuda, like the rest of her clan, seems to know no shame. Not only does her miserable performance as Gov not weigh on her conscience, neither does it apparently bother her that she's touting an "interview show" in which the interviews are all from the Fox archive bins with Sarah's "questions" cut in in place of the original interviewer. (Via Norwegianity).
Hours after LL Cool J complained that Fox News was recycling an old interview with him for a new program hosted by Sarah Palin, representatives for the country musician Toby Keith, who was also listed as a guest for the show, made a similar charge against the cable channel.
In a telephone interview on Wednesday, Elaine Schock, a publicist for Mr. Keith said: "I have no idea what interview they are using. Toby's talked to Fox a number of times, and I had no idea that this was going to be on Sarah Palin's special. Fox has never contacted me - not now, not when they were putting this together, not at all. I have no idea what they're using."
Mr. Keith, whose songs include "Courtesy of the Red, White, & Blue," was announced as a guest on "Real American Stories," a program that Fox News has scheduled for Thursday night. Ms. Schock said he had not been interviewed by Fox News since 2008. Update: In a subsequent email message, Ms. Schock said that the interview with Mr. Keith likely happened in early 2009.
Asked if Mr. Keith was ever interviewed by Ms. Palin, Ms. Schock said, "Absolutely not."
Apparently you can only get a Republican to recycle if it means they can skip out of doing their job.
