The baseball gods are making tonight difficult for me. On the one hand, I hate Boston (long, boring story) so much that even though I'm a Met fan, I'll root for the Yankees when they're playing the Sox. But since 1999 when he wouldn't take the ball in the Dodger's last game, which was meaningless to them, but mattered to the Mets and Cincinnati, I haven't been able to stand Kevin Brown either. Brown is starting tonight for the Yankees. So, it looks like I'm hoping for Brown to get rung up early and have the Yankees come from behind in some miracle win that goes down in baseball history. UPDATE: 12:11am: At least Kevin Brown had a bad night.
Oh, come on, how can you hate Boston? A Red Sox World Series win and Kerry victory would make this the greatest fortnight in the city's history. And of course I'm not there for it.
