This is my best photo from today. It's a shot back at the crowd. (How about that City Hall?) We were too far back from the speakers for any photos even though we were in the first section of spectators, but we could see them if we strained.
The crowd was fantastic - peaceful, friendly, psyched to work and win. Clinton did fine, although if you see any of the video, you can see that he's still feeling the surgery. Kerry managed to be the star even after being introduced by a former president coming off bypass to campaign for him.
The most memorable moment for me was when Kerry spoke about the enormous stores of explosives that have disappeared in Iraq. He listed what they can do: bring down planes, destroy buildings, fall into the hands of terrorists ... The crowd was nearly silent. That fear stuff is powerful. It's no wonder that BushCo is addicted to it. That and the fact that he has nothing else going for his pathetic self.
