All Crushing Disappointments That Kill Your Soul Are Local

First thing this morning, I started trying to find some bright side to last night. Ginny lost; Hoeffel lost; we're living in a deeply entrenched one-party state, which is nothing really new except that now that party is truly mad; perpetual war looks like it's our future. But what about my little corner of hell? How did my precinct do? So I looked up my precinct to see how we did even though that really doesn't matter since we don't have a mini-electoral college in PA. It turns out Kerry lost by one vote.

I'll keep shoveling, looking for that bright side. As the kid said, "There's gotta be a pony in here somewhere."
