Patriots like Abigail Adams. I wrote about the teach-in over at my PhillyBurbs blog because it's a local event. I didn't mention that I was in costume because I share embarrassing details of my political life with you guys alone. I didn't do my speech, which really rocks, because it wasn't polished and I chickened out. But I'm going to do it at the next event. I'm weighing stage fright against spending time writing something that never gets used and deciding that stage fright will have to lose out. How very John Adams of me.
The event was a big success. We got twenty five new faces on very short notice. Now I'm waiting to hear if the county commissioners lower the boom and announce that they've chosen a paperless system this morning at their bi-monthly meeting. No matter what they do, we're going to have another forum before the next meeting. It's up to the commissioners what the agenda will be. We're ready to roll in any eventuality.
So I have to think of something to do at the American Street. I have a post, well more of a rant, running around in my head. It's about the bloggers who rail against the spineless Dems and the loss of women's reproductive helath rights but who won't write about Chuck or invite him to guest post. I see a big fat hairy disconnect there. Unfortunately the only thing I can write on the subject right now starts with "What is the matter with you people??" and ends with a long string of profanities so I have to refine it a wee bit. I've got to get the Semmelweis/Cato ratio perfected.
Updates here as warranted.
