Round the horn:
I posted at the American Street about a really good story in my local paper. Simon Deng, a refugee from Sudan, is walking from NYC to D.C. He walked through Bucks County and the Courier Times has the story. (Bonus points: It counts for Darfur Week)
Sifu Tweety, writing at The Poor Man, has a good comment thread going about Google's decision to play ball with China. Is engagement the right way to go with a dictatorship?
Tom Keane Jr., another legacy running for office - this time the governorship of NJ, is ducking Dick, showing up to a fundraiser in Newark just as Cheney left. That means he gets the $400,000 Dick was there to give him and he avoids a photo with the party's chief albatross. To add insult to injury, my husband tells me that on a local radio program, Kean blamed his driver for chosing the wrong route to Newark (Rt 1, which even I know is a sucker's bet). When the dj's hammered him for blaming his driver, Kean tried to share the blame by claiming that the two discussed which route to take.
I've been in a lot of cars driven by men. The only time I was ever invited to have a discussion about the route we should take was when I was in labor. Something tells me that Kean told his guy to take the scenic route and that Dick could take care of himself in Newark.
I wanted to post about a few other things but they'll have to wait. I'm rushing to get to a Pennacchio volunteer training session that I'm helping to run.
They don't have planes in New Jersey? And apparently they don't have staff, either, that coordinate such things. I've been involved in such events, and timing is everything. This would NEVER happen by accident.

I know. It's a riot. And it's even funnier that Cheney must have been in on it. He knows he's poison. He just doesn't care - and neither would I if I were him. They view us all as sheep anyway. It's probably a big joke that Cheney is radioactive. It's just fun to watch them spin for the corporate media.
