Now that the Nativity Story has opened, it's tim eto start the count of how many arts reporters mistakenly identify Jesus' conception as the immaculate one. Claudia Pulig gets the ball rolling.
For the record, I blame this clear affront to Christianity on the recent Democratic win in Congress and, oh, let's say Jim Webb.
Huh! I didn't know that.

It seems to me that the war on Christmas is being waged by the advertising, consumer product and retail industries who encourage Americans to spend money they do not have to buy frivolous gifts for people that don't need them.
Is that really the "true spirit of Christmas" that Faux News is trying to protect?

I went to twelve years of Catholic school and never understood the Immaculate Conception until only a few years ago. Thank god Wal-Mart has decided to fight back the evil pagan hordes by declaring "Merry Christmas". If it wasn't for that we'd be confusing the Ascension with the Assumption.
