Via the Sideshow, I read Thomas Nephew's take down of the latest editorial in the pro-war WaPo's ridiculous series that Thomas describes thusly:
... forever hedging, hemming, and hawing about whether Bush was misleading about the war, whether and how he's mismanaged it, and about the tragic, intractable situation that has resulted in Iraq -- yet never offering any way forward other than for other people to gut it out for them.
Here's an antidote found via Tattered Coat. Watch it simply to see Ryan deliever all the contempt the architects of BushCo's War on Iraq and their cowardly defenders deserve when he says, "I don't yield."
What have you done today to stop this war?
As Henley once said, I feel like I need a cigarette after that. And I don't even smoke.

"You go to war with the president you have, not the one you wish you had."
Priceless.

"We've called you incompetent. We've called you incapable. We've said that you were derelict in your oversight responsibilities, but we've never called you unpatriotic."
Equally great. And he knows what he's talking about b/c he was part of the Iraq War Watch that met to give after hours speaches documenting the atrocities of the Republan war. Him, Delahunt, Hoeffel, Meek, Wasserman Schultz - Emmanuel showed up once that I saw too. Great C-SPAN action.
