I'm on vacation but TyPo, the psychic blogging hardware is working for me.

I don't drik coffee but you must because this isn't about me, it's about you and TyPo is sensing something Turkish about you today.
If you've never had Turkish coffee, then you've never experienced the centuries-old tradition that sparked worldwide coffee culture. While coffee existed previously in Ethiopia and North Africa, it was consumed largely for religious purposes. The idea of the social coffeehouse dates back to the Ottoman Empire of the mid-1500's, where techniques were developed that are still used today. Using the finest grind of coffee -- finer than even espresso, almost like baby powder -- the coffee is prepared unfiltered and with sugar using a copper cezve over three or four "boils".
Sounds nuts to me but again, this is all about YOU. If you think TyPo has erred, you're probably just lying to yourself, but you can page through the Hunger Site to find something less caffeine-fueled if you prefer.
Sounds like a lovely trip you're on, eR. Aug-Sept is a great time of year for New England.
If you plan to head down Cape Cod way, and want some tips of sights/eats/etc., just email and I'll send my brother, Mark's phone #. I'm sure he'd be very obliging and aware of where all ages can enjoy.

It's really not that bitter -- esp. with the sugar, it's almost chocolatey, you pour carefully to keep the grounds out of your little bitty coffee cup. We're out of the habit -- you really have to watch what you're doing, not let it overheat -- but we used to make it now and then, my wife being part Armenian and all. (We're quite happy to eat Turkish food, which is generally delicious.)
