This is video from the big Bryn Mawr rally to mark the 5th Anniversary of the Invasion and Occupation of Iraq. It was sponsored by the Bryn Mawr Peace Coalition. Seventy-two people showed up in very bad weather to honor the sacrifice of the people fighting this rotten war and to call for the survivors to be brought home. You can't tell from the video how hard it was raining but trust me, it was soaking. I had to give up collecting signatures on the sign-in sheet when the paper dissolved on the clipboard. There's a terrific library at the intersection; afterward about twenty five people went inside to watch video from the Winter Soldier II Hearings and hear a speaker on Iran. That part of the evening was sponsored by Penn Action. It was a great event and the end to a very long day.
If you live in Bryn Mawr, you can join monthly vigils at this intersection (Lancaster and Bryn Mawr) sponsored by the Bryn Mawr Peace Coalition. Every Saturday morning, the Main Line Citizens for Impeachment hosts Honk for Impeachment rallies. Bryn Mawr rocks :)
This is what lefties need to be doing instead of wasting time supporting corporate stooges like TweedleBam and TweedleShe.

Yep - and it's what we'll need to be doing even more of if one of them gets elected. Pressure, pressure, pressure!!

OK, eRobin. I'm officially doing something besides the weekly e-mail harrassment of my representative. I'm joining AAPJ, for local peace meetings; I'm standing with the Women in Black for their weekly vigils (when I can) and I'll be attending the larger peace rallies that come up in my area (Apr. 18 is the next one). I'm also trying to help candidates around the country who aren't getting the support of the DNC because the DLC won't annoint them. Below is one of my newest faves. He has great ads. I'm sending this link to some excited first-time voters in Oregon who are jazzed about Obama. Maybe they can help get a new and improved senator elected in that state.
Thanks for your motivational video and the little pop on the forehead.

Wow - you're on fire, VW. That's wonderful. I think you'll like the peace vigils. Women in Black are active in Erie, where my colleague works and he loves standing with them once a week.
I also love Steve Novick. I'm more excited about the push behind the Responsible Plan than anything else that's happened this election year.
