Ray wasn't singing about what he knew, 'cause Ray had been blind since he was a child. He hadn't seen many purple mountains. He hadn't seen many fruited plains. He was singing about what he believed to be.
Mr. President, we love America, not because of all of us have seen the beauty all the time.
But we believed if we kept on working, if we kept on marching, if we kept on voting, if we kept on believing, we would make America beautiful for everybody.
eRobin,
I am knocking on doors as a "Neighborhood Leader" or "VP"(Victory Prencinct Captain) with the Democrats in my neighborhood. Get 25 voters at a time, a map and a script for door to door and phone cavassing.
Also, people need to register to vote and can request an absentee ballot. Find out at http://www.declareyourself.com/voting_faq/state_by_state_info.html All 50 States are different.
Best regards,

Hey Trainer 12! I'm glad to hear that you're getting out contacting people about ending the war in Iraq. I think the MDP canvass is non-partisan (501 c3))though so if you're doing it with all your Dem friends, be careful not to break the rules. I'm always up to my eyeballs in compliance regulations so I'm used to it but it still drives me crazy sometimes.

I re-read your comment - were you talking about a separate canvass? If so, that's great too. Everbody needs to have his/her door knocked on a million times before November 4 - and then 2 million times after that until we get the changes we need.
