I forgot to include a link in my previous post to James Fallows' fantastic coverage of the Olympics over at his Atlantic blog. Fallows is the guy who was keeping track of the air quality in Beijing in the run up to the Olympics. (He has a new one up today - shorter version: enjoy being able to breath while it lasts!) He lives in China so his Olympic coverage includes some terrific political and cultural insights. He writes some about events but mostly about what it's like living in Beijing during this very important (for China) two weeks. And I love his writing style. It's like reading letters written by your smartest friend ever. Plus early on he slammed David Brooks for being the preening, oblivious, know nothing tool that he is, which won my undying affection and respect.
