This is an odd one. Even Politico admits that they don't like each other, and after the lies she's been telling about him and the Frightening Finger of Blame she's been pointing at him, some discomfort would certainly be understandable.
John McCain's family and staff have long since made their distaste for Sarah Palin clear, and her base of supporters aren't natural McCain fans.
But the running mates have remained staunchly loyal to one another, with Palin making an exception for him in her almostly solely conservative endorsements, and McCain refusing to speak ill of her.
It's a partnership that makes sense. McCain's defense insulates her from the staff charges that she's basically unready for the national stage. And McCain needs her on his right flank.
Maybe McCain needs her but since when has she cared about seeming "unready"? She brags about her outsider status and beams whenever anybody calls her "ignorant". So are her fans and they love her for it. To them, ignorance isn't a negative, it's the reason they want to vote for her: she's just as dumb as they are. That part of Smith's "analysis" is bunk.
As Sen. John McCain readies for a potential primary challenge from the right this fall, the Arizona Republican is playing his trump card.
Sarah Palin, McCain's former running mate and perhaps the most powerful brand in Republican politics, will stump for McCain in Arizona on March 26 and 27, a Palin adviser told CNN. The presence of Palin - and the considerable crowds and media attention she will draw - might give pause to J.D. Hayworth, the former Republican congressman and radio host who opposes McCain's position on illegal immigration and is mulling a Senate run of his own.
This despite the probable entry of Teabagger Hayworth, who would normally be Teh Cuda's first choice. How will her fans take this? As a step up or a betrayal? After all, she endorsed a guy in NY who lost and wasn't involved with Scott Brown at all and he won. Hmm. She called Brown after the fact and said, sounding a little like The Godfather, that she would have endorsed him "if he had asked" this favor of her.
Brown, however, is a huge fan of McCain's, Big John being the first one he visited when he and his truck landed in DC. It could be that there's a new kid in the crew who may just whip Sarah's ass with her own acolytes. What with Scotty already being mentioned inside GOP circles as a possible presidential candidate in '12, Teh Cuda could find herself being profiled on "Where Is She Now?" before you can say "Nekkid Guy for Prez".
But don't worry about Our Sarah. Besides the FoxNews gig, she just got $100K from In Touch Weekly for letting them take a picture of her.
You gotta give these Pubs one thing: they sure do have an elevated sense of their own worth.
They have more than an elevated sense of self worth.
They have all the big buisness bad boys and their money, also too.
$arah gets even dumber each time she opens her mouth.
I just saw her and her virgin daughter Bri$tol on Oprah. All they talked about was Bri$tols sex life. She was swearing how she'll never have sex again until shes married. HA! Then she predicted she'd marry in 10 years. I guess she doesn't enjoy sex too much. She is a freakin clone of Mommy Dearest.
Now she's trying to hit Levi up for over $1,700/month child support. She has a photo opp for a magazine for $100,000. He makes $100,000/year. Greedy much?

What I fear in 2012 is a Rick Perry/Sarah Palin ticket - Perry's got the god-bothers in his pocket but to most non-Texans he's an unknown w/gold-plated right-wing bona fides. Yikes.
